As Founder and Executive Director of One Day at a Time Ministry, Exavier Aguilar, a 22-year retired veteran of Law Enforcement, has seen so many families impacted by addictions and homelessness. Exavier sees a great need in our community for Men's and Women's Sober Living Homes. As Exavier's precious mother, Consuelo, taught him with the words of Jesus; "You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. There is no other Commandment greater than this."
Exavier was born into a family of nine. He and his siblings were taught to help out in their community. Their doors were always open to anyone needing help. Sadly, his brother, Robert, lost his battle by being on the wrong side of society, igniting Exavier's passion to see those who are struggling obtain healing. This is how his mother and brother influenced Exavier to bring forth this program for those who are battling alcohol and addictions. Providing them with an environment which promotes restoration, Exavier believes that a person can be rescued from the bondage of addiction to live a fulfilling life.
"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3
